Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026 — updated to reflect self-hosted fonts and Klaro consent manager
3IVIS GmbH ("we", "us") operates thetimetree.com. This policy explains what data is collected when you visit the Site, by whom, on what legal basis, and what rights you have.
What we collect and why
The Site is a static website. We do not operate user accounts, collect form submissions, or maintain a database of visitor data.
Server logs: Our hosting provider may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for operational and security purposes. We do not use these logs for marketing or share them with third parties.
Google Analytics 4 (GA4): We use GA4, operated by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA), to understand how visitors use the Site in aggregate. GA4 collects the pages you view, time spent, browser and device type, and a pseudonymous visitor identifier. Your IP address is anonymised (truncated) before it is stored by Google. We do not use GA4 to identify individuals or for advertising. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the Site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Analytics data is retained for 14 months. GA4 only activates after you accept analytics cookies via the consent banner. You can opt out at any time via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser settings.
Klaro (consent management): We use Klaro, a consent management tool operated by KIProtect GmbH (Glogauer Str. 6, 10999 Berlin, Germany), to display the cookie consent banner and record your preferences. When your browser loads the Klaro JavaScript file from KIProtect's servers, your IP address is transmitted to their servers. KIProtect is a German company and this transfer occurs within the EU. No personal data about your browsing behaviour is sent to KIProtect. The legal basis is our legal obligation to obtain consent for non-essential cookies (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR). See the KIProtect Privacy Policy for details.
International data transfers
Google Analytics is operated by Google LLC in the United States. Data transfers to the US are covered by Google's certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of 10 July 2023), which the European Commission has recognised as providing an adequate level of protection equivalent to the EU. All other third-party services used by this Site are operated within the EU.
Cookies
This Site sets the following cookies:
- klaro — set by the Klaro consent manager to store your cookie preferences. Contains only your consent choices, no personally identifiable information. Expires after 365 days.
- _ga, _ga_* — set by Google Analytics (only if you accept analytics cookies) to distinguish visitors and sessions. Contain only a pseudonymous identifier and no personally identifiable information.
No advertising or social media cookies are set by this Site.
External links
The Site links to external sources (research papers, news articles, government publications). When you follow those links, the privacy policies of those sites apply. We are not responsible for their data practices.
Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the GDPR: access to your data (Article 15), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), data portability (Article 20), and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Article 21).
Because analytics data is processed by Google on our behalf in pseudonymous form, exercising rights over that data should be directed to Google via their privacy tools. For any other inquiries, contact us at the address below.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for 3IVIS GmbH is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
